The Coast to Coast Path was the brainchild of perhaps the most famous Lake District fell walker of all time; Alfred Wainwright. Walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast Path has become a 'must do' adventure for tens of thousands of walkers, trekkers and hikers from around the world, which included me and my mate Peter, who live 12,000 miles away in Australia.
